January was never high on my list of favourite months. It lacked a tumultuous occasion to allow me to reminisce and remember fondly, “Ah January..”.

Just a flatline of dreary days dripping with drudgery.

Until now.

In 60 years time, I will poke people with my walking stick, and ask them if they heard the story of that wedding I photographed in Las Vegas on a January weekend back in the day.

Step forward Laura Faherty and Eric Murphy. No ordinary couple. No ordinary location. No ordinary wedding!
